PUTERI HARBOUR : SAIL MALAYSIA PASSAGE TO THE EAST
About 30 vessels comprising 90 international cruisers were at Puteri Harbour from 13th May 2009 to 17th May 2009, the curtain raiser for the event and the official starting point for Sail Malaysia rally.
The yacht cruisers registered initially at Danga Bay and later sailed their way to Puteri Harbour. They had the opportunity to participate in water games such as canoe race, waterpolo and paddle ball race with the Nusajaya Team. During dinner, the yachters and guests were delighted with Malaysian showcase of multi coloured cultural performances such as Kompang, Silat, Lion and Zapin Dance and Johor’s Kuda Kepang Mystical Dance specially brought by Johor Tourism Action Council.
The event was attended by Dato’ Hj Abdul Ghani Othman the Chief Minister of Johor as the Guest of Honour. Other VIPs included Dato’ Hj. Mohd. Ali Hassan, Speaker of Johor States, Legislative Assembly, Encik Hoo Seong Chang, Johor's Tourism and Domestic Trade Committee Chairman, Dato’ Hj Abd Latiff Yusof, State Secretary of Johor, members of the Johor State Executive Council, En. Shazli Kamal Basha, Managing Director, PassionAsia Sdn Bhd and representing UEM Land Holdings Berhad were Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of UEM Land Holdings Berhad and En Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim, MD/CEO

PUTERI HARBOUR VELOCITY
Full of activities. Construction work for Puteri Harbour commenced just 26 months ago in January 2007 and the Inner Lagoon was completed in August 2007 while main infrastructure and bulk earthwork for 160 acres were completed in December 2007. The Clubhouse was completed and impressively built within a period of 8 months and is home to the Puteri Harbour Sales Gallery, Marina and Project offices plus guests amenities.
October 2008, floating pontoon system with 76 wet-berths, 15m wide public promenade that stretches over 800m from the Clubhouse through Precinct A and main roads were completed.
15th January 2009, Puteri Harbour proudly opened its Channel for the first yacht to sail in. Welcoming the yachting fraternity to the southernmost marina and waterfront development on mainland Asia – Latitude 1°25’N; Longitude 103°39.5’E. The design of the Clubhouse, Public Marina and Promenade defines the unique and luxurious lifestyle at Puteri Harbour.
To date, earthworks, dredging and main infrastructure works on the Mega-Yacht Marina and Private Marina is well under way and targeted for completion in September 2009 and January 2010 respectively.
